A Journey through the Senses
From outer noise to inner stillness.
Join Sonia and I for a beautiful morning workshop journeying through our senses. As we awaken through one sense in the body we withdraw from the others, allowing the mind to concentrate and turn inwards.
Exploring the practice of Pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses)
In a world of information overload, the practice of pratyahara offers us a haven of silence. Grant yourself some time to step away from your busy life and join us on a journey within.
We will explore:
- Humming Bree Pranayama : A beautiful breath to experience Pratyahara. This has powerful healing benefits on the autonomic nervous system, activating the parasympathetic nervous system, which is the rest and digest side to soothe and concentrate the senses.
- Blindfolded flow : We will move though a flow to awaken and energise the body, then with the option to add a blindfold, once you are familiar with the flow. A great way to challenge our sense of sight and awaken our inner vision.
- Slow & nourishing Restorative practice, allowing the body to fully unwind and melt into stillness, complimented with the sense of touch & smell, through gentle massage and essential oils.
- Mindful Eating meditation :By fully appreciating a foods flavours and textures and being in the moment while eating, we open ourselves up to a deeper level of enjoyment, and it becomes easier to make better choices about how we nourish ourselves.
Snack & Tea provided.
